Meet Matt
Hello, nice to meet you and thanks for stopping by.
My aim is to create and provide spaces that feel safe and comfortable to talk about things we find tricky to do so in our usual environments. My job is not to fix, tell or advice, but to listen, facilitate and support people navigate life.

I'm a qualified coach and NLP practitioner, trained Youth Worker, and spend the majority of my time in schools, group or one to one settings, facilitating conversations that support people's health and well-being.

I believe there isn't anything we can't work through when we have the right support, and i'm here to help provide that.

Credentials & Experience

After graduating from university, my initial career was within the construction industry as a Project Manager. In 2016 after completing my Personal Performance Coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) qualifications, I decided to change my career completely and follow my desire to support young people. I retrained as a Youth Worker and began managing and running youth clubs, creating and facilitating well-being workshops in schools and community spaces, as well as providing one to one peer mentoring support.

Around the same time I also began working for a charitable organisation who engage men and boys in conversations around masculinity, gender stereotyping and what 'being a man' means in todays world. This opened my eyes to the much needed resource boys and young men sadly do not often have; a safe space to vocalise and practice connecting with their feelings and emotional regulation. I have since helped to provide this one to one space, whilst also facilitating group workshops on gender equality and stereotyping in high schools, universities, work places and sports clubs.

I currently work for a Community Interest Company providing high quality, interactive training and support on issues of equality, diversity and inclusion to teachers and students, key stage 2-5.

I am also a trainer for The Coaching Academy, (the world's leading coach training provider) delivering their Coaching in Education Programme to other people wanting to provide coaching support to young people.

I have experience of working with SEN, ADHD and ASD.

In my spare time I write articles and blogs for young people and parents' magazines, have helped set up a local mens group, and I'm currently completing my 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training. I am enhanced DBS checked and insured to conduct the work I do with young people - these are all available upon request, as are character and professional references.
